The Class of 2020 Facebook group for incoming students to Champlain has been jam packed with students bubbling with excitement regarding the upcoming school year. It seems the perfect time to re-introduce our “Tell Us About Yourself(ie)” series, which will highlight profiles of incoming first-year students through the summer and leading up to Orientation in August.

Why did you pick Champlain?

The moment I stepped on campus for the first time my sophomore year in high school, I fell in love with Champlain. I instantly felt a sense of belonging and home and didn’t look elsewhere.

What’s a poster you’ll definitely be hanging in your Res Hall room?

Doctor Who, Once Upon a Time, Olaf.

Which celebrity would you most like to meet?

Luke Bryan.

What’s your phone wallpaper?

The Flash/Barry Allen.

What’s your go-to jam song?

“Waiting for Superman” by Daughtry.

What’s your favorite breakfast food?

Cereal, there’s so many choices to choose from! I could eat it for each meal every day!

What’s a word or phrase you’re guilty of using too often?

“You do you” or “Just be happy!”

What’s the number 1 item on your bucket list?

To visit all 7 continents!

What’s your go-to fun fact?

Ornithologists estimate that up to 100 million birds are killed each year by collisions with windows.

What’s something not many people know about you?

In 2012, we had to set a reading goal for school, I chose 2012 books for the year 2012. From January 1, 2012 – December 31, 2012, I read 2,154 books, (all over 200 pages). As I completed each book, I reviewed it and gave a brief summary of it on a blog I had created for this occasion.
